Devon Conway Surgery, Ruled Out of IPL 2024 Until May

New Zealand’s star opener Devon Conway has been ruled out of the 2024 Indian Premier League (IPL) until May because of a thumb injury he sustained while playing a second T20I against Australia.

371 Subsequent X-ray findings ruled out simple fracture,although following MRI and specialist review, surgery was required1. New Zealand Cricket (NZC) said Conway will need a minimum of eight weeks recovery time.

This is a huge loss for the Chennai Super Kings (CSK), who relied on Conway for the consistency at the top of the innings.

Now the team management is thinking of replacements to make up for the loss of Conway1.

Conway is still hopeful of recovery and hopes to return in the second half of IPL season. His return to the field is highly anticipated by fans and teammates alike.
