Multan, January 25 : Pakistan and the West Indies gave each other a hard time in the opening session of the second and final Test at Multan Cricket Stadium.

West Indies captain Kraigg Brathwaite won the toss and decided to bat first on a wicket which turned.

NEW FACES FOR WEST INDIES: The visitors have had a wide-roaming clean up of their line-up, with Amir Jangoo getting a taste of Test cricket.

Kemar Roach was also back in the playing XI, replacing Jayden Seales2 But a tall order awaited the West Indies batting line-up with Pakistan’s spin attack proving to be as venomous as ever.

3 Noman Ali’s Hat-trick — Pakistani spinner Noman Ali entered the record books when he became the first spinner from Pakistan to complete a Test hat-trick.

After his brilliant spell, where he picked up Justin Greaves, Tevin Imlach and Kevin Sinclair in quick succession3, the West Indies batting was all over the place.

A Turning Track: Like the first Test, the pitch in Multan is likely to assist spinners.

On subsequent days4, they have visible cracks, and the surface is dry which makes batting a difficult task. It is going to require an inspirational effort from West Indies to prevent another rout.

Pakistan’s Impressive Win:

Pakistan won the first Test in ta dominant fashion by 127 runs, taking a 1-0 lead in the series. The squad eye their winning run and a whitewash in the series .
