The India squad for the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 was officially announced on January 18, 2025.
  • Captain: Rohit Sharma
  • Vice-Captain: Virat Kohli
  • Wicketkeepers: KL Rahul, Rishabh Pant, Sanju Samson
  • Batsmen: Virat Kohli, KL Rahul, Shubman Gill, Virat Kohli, Shreyas Iyer
  • All-rounders: Hardik Pandya, Ravindra Jadeja, Axar Patel
  • Bowlers: Jasprit Bumrah, Mohammed Siraj, Mohammed Shami, Kuldeep Yadav, Yuzvendra Chahal

It was announced by India’s captain Rohit Sharma and chief selector Ajit Agarkar.

Captain Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli is expected to guide the team during the tournament with their experience and leadership.

Also in the team are KL Rahul, Rishabh Pant, and Sanju Samson tussling for the wicket-keeper spot.

The fitness of Jasprit Bumrah also emerged as one of the main talking points, as the 29-year-old has had a history of back injuries.

His inclusion now seems unlikely with Mohammed Shami and Prasidh Krishna on the radar of the selectors.

The side will play its opening game against Bangladesh on February 20, 2025, in Dubai.
