The contest for the 2024 ICC Women’s T20 World Cup will begin on October 3 with 10 teams in the United Arab Emirates.

Australia, which won the last two editions and is the defending champion, would hope to do the same as it has emerged victorious six times.

However, this edition promises more competition from the likes of England, India, and Sri Lanka. Of course, the India-Pakistan match on October 6 is the one they would love to watch live.

Group A:

  • Australia
  • India
  • Pakistan
  • New Zealand
  • Sri Lanka

Group B:

  • England

Pitch Report

The surface in Dubai tends to favor the batters. Though dew may come into play in the second innings, playing first will be the right call, especially in this kind of high-voltage game. Anything above 160 is a winning score.

The two foes, India and Pakistan, are going head to head in Dubai on October 6, and the prospect is very juicy. It is a fact that India has an edge over Pakistan, having 12 matches out of the 15 played in the T20 format.

This would be the second meeting for India with the same opponent in the Women’s Asia Cup in July 2024. They went on to take things easily and clinched a seven-wicket victory. For the underdogs, Pakistan though, with ace bowler Fatima Sana at the helm, will come all guns blazing and look to thwart the top team this time.
