Taide’s career in cricket began with a List A debut for Vidarbha in the 2018–19 Vijay Hazare Trophy on 20 September 2018.
His first-class debut came soon after in the 2018–19 Ranji Trophy on 22 December 2018. Showing recent versatility, he made his Twenty20 debut in the 2018–19 Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy on 21 February 2019.
Furthermore, one of his spectacular innings came in the final of the Cooch Behar Trophy when he scored arguably his most stunning 320 runs developing innings of the tournament for Vidarbha and equalling Yuvraj Singh’s record at the time.
Taide’s 72-run knock in the Irani Trophy final of 2019 firmly established himself as a reliable top-order batsman. He has been able to hit the ball a long way, as evidenced by his highest List A score of an unbeaten 164 against Andhra Pradesh in the Vijay Hazare Trophy on 9 December 2021.
